“Parmi Tant D’Autres” (“Amongst Many Others”) aims to shed light on the growing challenges faced by Atlantic salmon rivers, as salmon populations experience increasingly difficult years. Told through the perspective of the Petit-Saguenay River in Quebec, a hidden gem whose story has yet to be told, the film raises awareness of a rich cultural and natural heritage that is at risk. Through personal stories and deep reflections, Parmi Tant D’Autres explores the intimate connection between the river, its inhabitants, its salmon fishing community, and the fragile salmon population that defines it. It is a call to action, inviting people to engage in conservation efforts by unveiling the inspiring yet little known efforts of the Petit-Saguenay community to preserve their river.
